IPAC Publications

IPAC publishes knowledge in four broad formats: Canadian Public Administration, a case study collection, our book series, and a series of reports and the special topic New Directions working papers series. Here membership really has its benefits: IPAC members receive discounts, free downloads and early access to our products.

Canadian Public Administration, is Canada’s leading public administration journal bringing together academics and practitioners in advancing the theory and analysis of local, provincial, national and Indigenous public administration and governance.

IPAC curates Canada’s largest repository of case studies with over 200 cases that will meet class use, and professional development needs but will also enable you to discover leading practices. Practitioners, researchers and teachers will find how-to guides for writing, teaching and using cases alongside an exhaustive source of other case studies from around the world.

IPAC has partnered with the University of Toronto Press and with Les Presses de l'Université du Québec to provide you with the foremost books in public administration, public policy and governance in Canada in both official languages.

You often need concise, topical and focused knowledge for your work and to keep abreast of developing trends. IPAC regularly publishes a variety of reports and working papers on topics such as recruitment and retention, service delivery transformation, public sector innovation, social leadership, and digital culture in government. These publications collect the best available research and analysis from IPAC’s broad stakeholder networks and are specifically designed and executed to support public servants.
