Plan, Educate and Engage, the Final Report on IPAC's National Year of Dialogue.

The Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) has published Public Service Action for Reconciliation:

Plan, Educate and Engage, the Final Report on IPAC's National Year of Dialogue.
Reconciliation and building new relationships with Indigenous governments and peoples is an IPAC long-term strategic priority. Led by Catherine MacQuarrie, Senior Executive in Residence, Indigenous Government Programs, IPAC was very proud of the incredible volunteer efforts made at events, conferences and learning exchanges by its membership and chapters during the National Year of Dialogue.

The final report threads together the common themes for taking action heard throughout 2017 - planning, education and engagement. It guides governments, public sector institutions and public service employees in building new relationships with Indigenous governments and peoples.

"IPAC is very pleased to publish Public Service Action for Reconciliation: Plan, Educate and Engage, the Final Report on IPAC's National Year of Dialogue," said Lucie Robitaille, National President of IPAC. "We join all Canadians seeking reconciliation this National Indigenous Day in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples, communities and governments."

"The National Year of Dialogue was a rich and challenging year of learning together," stated Robert Taylor, CEO of IPAC. "Building the Dialogue continues by seeking opportunities to take action on reconciliation and by building inclusive relationships with Indigenous peoples and governments."

IPAC is a dynamic association of public servants, academics, and others who believe in the importance of public service. Founded in 1947, it is a membership-based, non-profit organization with 19 regional groups across Canada. IPAC creates effective knowledge networks, leads public administration research and is a major player in exporting successful Canadian public-sector expertise around the world.
