Technical Safety BC is an independent, self-funded organization mandated to oversee the safe installation and operation of technical systems and equipment. In addition to issuing permits, licenses, and certificates, TSBC works with industry to reduce safety risks through assessment, education and outreach, enforcement, and research. Its 430+ experts in various fields – focused on fostering safety in the design, manufacture, construction, installation, operation, maintenance, and use of technical products, equipment, and systems – are constantly adapting and innovating to meet the safety challenges of our highly connected world.
This is an opportunity for a strategic leader to advance the organization’s vision – safe technical systems everywhere. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the next President & CEO will be responsible for the sustainable operation and growth of TSBC, in alignment with a ten-year strategic plan that will expand innovation, influence, and knowledge, and build confidence in TSBC and in the province’s safety system. This visionary, agile, and innovative leader will empower TSBC’s high-performing team to deliver on the organization’s mandate. The next President & CEO will establish and nurture critical relationships externally and internally, develop strategic partnerships with governments and industries, and sustain a courageous internal culture to deliver on strategic goals.
