Job Description

Looking for a way to help build Manitoba’s economy while offering opportunity to its citizens?

Our client, Red River College, is seeking a transformative leader with a passion for education and skills development and the demonstrated ability to achieve results. The President and Chief Executive Officer will ensure the College establishes and effectively implements a clear and measurable strategic plan focused on desired student outcomes, long-term financial and operational sustainability and positive employee engagement. This leader will create the culture and environment that supports high-quality programming and instruction, aligned with the needs of Manitoba’s economy, accountable executive management, fully engaged team members, innovation in academics and business functions and a focus on educational and financial results.

They will work closely with the Board of Governors and executive management to establish a governance and organizational structure, as well as an operating model, that supports the continued growth of Red River College, diversifies the revenue streams, evolves as Manitoba’s demographics change and maintains its reputation as a leader in post-secondary education. The successful candidate will become the “face” of the College by developing and sustaining positive and productive relationships and strategic partnerships with Indigenous leaders, organizations and communities, industry associations, the business community and employers, the municipal, provincial and federal governments and the general public.

The ideal candidate will bring to this position an advanced degree in education or business and a minimum of 10 years executive leadership experience, preferably in an academic environment. If you have the reputation, networks, commitment and energy to build on the successes of this organization and bring credibility, humility and authenticity to this role, you will want to explore this rare opportunity.
