The Opportunity: Director, Information Technology
Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, the Director of Information Technology is responsible for the services and programs provided by the Information Technology Department.
The Director of IT is responsible for the day-to-day and long term planning and coordination of the department operations, programs and associated levels of service in accordance with approved policies and procedures. The position will provide provides information technology vision and leadership, and has an influential role in the strategic and tactical decisions that are made throughout the organization.
The incumbent is required to liaise with other levels of government and external agencies and maintain a working relationship with City Council, Administration and all departments within the corporate structure.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 8 years’ progressively responsible related experience, including 4 years in a management supervisory role;
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
