Income Taxation Branch's (ITB) role within the Revenue Division includes ensuring responsive, effective, and fair revenue, tax, tax credit and benefit administration that contributes to the funding of provincial programs and services. ITB also leads the negotiation of various agreements with other government bodies, such as information sharing agreements, on behalf of the Revenue Division.
The Senior Income Tax Specialist leads the research, development and processing of legislation and policy through the required stages and coordinates the implementation of new legislation, regulation, and administrative policies.

Qualifications for this role include:
- Completion of law degree or must be a member in good standing with a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA; CPA, CGA; CPA, CMA; or CPA), issued by The Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in researching, interpreting, and applying complex Canadian income and related tax legislation including policies and case law.
- Preference may be given to applicants that have:
o Enrolled in or completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax course.
