Job Description

Our 53,000 students receive the education they need to create big ideas that make an impact on the world.  We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Faculty Governance and Policy to work in the Office of the Dean with the School of Arts, Media, Performance and Design for this exciting opportunity.

Are you a professional with Management experience in an academic environment?  Do you possess at least 3 years of experience in the field of Governance and Policy, including interpreting complex procedures and guidelines? Do you possess familiarity with legislation, committee administration as well as enquiry resolution? If so, keep reading!

In this role, you will execute four primary responsibilities; Labour Relations Advising & Coordinating; Management of Faculty Governance & Policy; Management of School of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design (AMPD) curriculum; as well as functioning as a Liaison to the Office of Advising & Integrated Student Services.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

A University Degree in Public Administration (or similar area of specialization) or at least 2 years of related experience, in addition to the required experience listed. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess 3 years recent related experience (legislative, committee administration, interpreting complex procedures or guidelines, handling a broad range of detailed enquiries) preferably in a post-secondary academic environment.
