Manitoba Finance is looking for a strategic, collaborative and innovative manager to lead a large operational division of government. The successful candidate will lead the division through ongoing modernization and change while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
We require a senior manager with extensive experience in planning and managing change initiatives, including determining and setting priorities based on government and departmental initiatives. You must have proven ability to deliver on transformational change in a large operational environment, including technological modernization and changes in organizational culture.
Extensive managerial experience with significant responsibility for human and financial resources is required. You will also need post secondary education in public administration or related discipline and/or acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Success in this role requires excellent leadership skills with experience working in a large, diverse organization, and a commitment to the ongoing development of a strong and effective team. The successful candidate must be a leader with the ability to work in a changing environment which requires both strategic thinking and strong management skills. This position also requires a high performance organizer and motivator, who is results oriented. The successful candidate must exercise good judgment in problem solving skills and making decisions. This position demands superior political acumen and excellent communications (verbal and written) skills.
