The Department of Infrastructure (INF) provides high quality services to the public and Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) departments, boards and agencies including the planning, design, construction, acquisition, operation and maintenance of buildings, works and equipment required for the GNWT to deliver programs and services.

As the Director, Technology Service Centre, you will provide vision and leadership, develop and implement strategy and initiatives, direct operations, and play a crucial role in efficiently and effectively meeting the Information Technology (IT) needs of the GNWT. The Director is a key member of the GNWT’s Information and Technology leadership team working collaboratively with the Government CIO and other peers to ensure high quality information and technology solutions that support the ambitions of the Government.
With a focus on client service, the Technology Service Centre (TSC) is central to modernizing and maintaining GNWT-wide infrastructure and operations and is responsible for client liaison services, service desk, desktop/laptop support, network, storage, server, telecom and mobility services to approximately 5000 government staff, Health Authorities, Education staff and Boards and Agencies. A further 1200 staff of Education Boards, Agencies and Crown Corporations receive a subset of these services.

For this position are typically attained through a relevant degree and ten (10) years of proven, progressive, and directly related technical experience including at least three (3) years managing staff and leading diverse teams in various fields of information technology and information systems. Recent and current experience providing leadership and managing within an information technology organization is essential.

The salary range for this position is from $71.41 per hour to $102.02 per hour (approximately $139,250.00 - $198,939.00.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.00.
