Team Lead, Business Planning
Do you have the leadership skills needed to coordinate and provide advice on strategic and operational business planning in support of the Ministry of Transportation's Road User Safety division? If so, please consider this opportunity.
What can I expect to do in this role?
In this job, you will:
• Lead the development of a divisional strategic and operational plan, supporting division/office annual business plans
• Formulate the development of business planning processes and mechanisms that support the division's annual planning cycle
• Lead professional staff within the ministry in developing strategic, operational and branch business plans
• Prepare presentations with recommendations and advice to senior management on strategic and operational planning
• Develop and coordinate all information requirements with respect to strategic and operational planning issues
• Build partnerships and act as key liaison with other divisions, ministries and jurisdictions

• You can identify emerging issues and assess policy proposals impacting road safety programs and recommend their inclusion in strategic and operational planning
• You can develop key performance indicators to assess the outcome of initiatives within business plans
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• You can discuss, gain support and build consensus with a variety of stakeholders on business planning priorities
• You can prepare reports and presentations utilizing computer software for word processing, presentations, graphics, databases, modeling and analysis
• You can build partnerships and act as a key liaison with other divisions, ministries and jurisdictions
• You can develop new relationships and communications networks and establish consultation frameworks across the organization
