Job Description
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is looking for dynamic professionals to join our team in the Health System Accountability and Performance Division, Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) Renewal Branch. You will conduct, coordinate and support planning and delivery of projects related to the Patients First strategy to support improved patient care across Ontario.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Undertake project management related to LHIN Renewal; develop project plans, charters and project reports to monitor progress
• Develop and/or coordinate the development of new or revised program/service operational design and plan alternatives and recommendations
• Work with stakeholders (i.e. LHINs) and external agency and program delivery partners 
• Conduct or participate in consultation processes with stakeholders/expert panels to discuss and review approved strategies

How do I qualify?

Program Analysis and Evaluation Knowledge and Skills

• You have knowledge of and experience with program analysis and evaluation techniques to develop or revise programs 
• You can analyse and review measurement baselines and performance results with management/staff or external health service organizations
• You can assess and provide recommendations on policy and program changes

Project Management and Planning Skills

• You can conduct or participate in the planning and implementation of branch initiatives, including developing project charters, work plans, reports and monitoring progress 
• You can provide a range of support services for multiple concurrent projects/initiatives and effectively set priorities and meet project task deadlines

Communication Skills

• You can write briefing notes, project and program information, business cases and reports
• You have presentation skills to support development and presentation of project findings, reports and analyses to senior staff
• You have consultation and advisory skills to establish, plan and participate in stakeholder consultation processes and provide recommendations to management on issues/solutions
• You have relationship management skills to work cooperatively with project teams

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

• You can conduct analysis and technical reviews
• You can identify/assess business needs and issues relevant to the project/program and its successful delivery and implementation
• You can develop new or revised program design and plan alternatives and recommendations

Health Care Knowledge

• You have knowledge of Ontario's health care system and delivery to participate on projects related to health service initiatives 
• You have the ability to learn ministry direction, key objectives, relevant legislation, government planning processes and funding governance to identify key issues and recommend options
