Communications and Public Engagement, Edmonton – Lead innovative strategies to enhance communications between Albertans and the Government of Alberta.
In this role you will provide the overall vision and strategic leadership for communications, public relations and marketing services to all government ministries. With a focus on innovation and partnership, you will lead the organization to enhance the image, brand and reputation of the province; promote Albertans’ engagement with and understanding of their government’s plans and outcomes; and support the policy process through strategic advice and direction. You will contribute leadership to the department executive team and provide guidance, advice and support focused on achievement of government outcomes. As a member of Deputy Ministers’ Council, you will share accountability for achieving government mandates and ensuring that strategic priorities are addressed from a system-wide perspective.
Your career reflects extensive and varied executive management and communications experience within a large, complex organization. You have demonstrated expertise in applying a systems focus to achieve results in both program and policy arenas, with the ability to influence innovative outcomes. The position requires a candidate with honed political acumen skills and a desire to drive the development of strategic solutions. Your reputation for empowering teams and building capacity in challenging fiscal environments will support your success.
