Bio

Bhupinder is a Senior Strategy Officer with the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Ministry of Citizens’ Services, BC Public Service. He is passionate about emerging technology, future of work, and digital government. With a background in Economics – Bachelor of Arts (BA), University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria he strongly believes in the role of data in service delivery optimization.

Bhupinder joined the BC Public Service and IPAC (Victoria-BC Chapter) in May 2016 after successfully founding an award-winning technology start-up focused on Travel Analytics. He assumed co-chair of the IPAC New Professionals Committee in 2017 and with his team has successfully delivered events focused on Cannabis, Digital Government, CleanBC, and GBA+.

In 2016 he was part of a team that presented an investment management strategy to the Norwegian Pension Fund at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. This strategy placed 1st overall and received a written accolade from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Ultimately, Bhupinder believes ecosystems thrive when they’re networked and connected to each other. Through IPAC he hopes to encourage discourse at the intersection of government, private sector, and academia. Diversity fosters innovation and ultimately drives growth.
