Message from the President

Message from the President

This is with great pleasure that I share with you the release of our first Institute of Pubic Administration of Canada (IPAC) in the National Capital Region (NCR) newsletter. This important event also coincides with the launch of our updated French website, allowing for us to engage and develop even stronger connections with our members, in the official language of their choice. We are particularly proud of this achievement, realized jointly with our colleagues of the IPAC National Board and whom I wish to thank warmly for their leadership and collaboration in this matter.

This message also comes at the end of my tenure as President of the Board of the IPAC, in the NCR, a role that I have proudly played since 2015. During these past three years, the Board has held over 40 events on different important themes such as: reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, innovation in the technological world, diversity, workshops for new professionals, to name a few.

As part of our strategic planning, we have developed a new Vision, which is to ‘’Strengthen the future of public administration in the NCR’’, based on four specific strategic goals: Sharing knowledge, Promoting the career development, Building Partnerships and Connecting people.

Finally, from an internal perspective, we have worked towards the strengthening of governance frameworks related to committees and tools, an update of our By-laws, as well as the development of our first three-year Communications Plan Framework.

In addition to becoming the Immediate Past President following the Annual General Assembly in June, I will be leading the planning and the organization of the IPAC National Conference to be held in our region, in 2020.

Let’s recognize and build upon our achievements as a dynamic IPAC community in the NCR and continue to look for ways in which, together, we can contribute to sustaining a strong public administration in Canada through the talent, experience and knowledge of our members!
