The award recognizes the exceptional achievement of a person who has demonstrated excellence in public administration in the Northwest Territories and who - by practice, in writings or through other endeavours - has made a significant contribution to the field of public administration. The award pays tribute to a public sector practitioner whose work exhibits the highest standard of excellence, dedication and accomplishment. It recognizes an outstanding individual while underscoring the value of all individuals in the public sector who display leadership, values, creativity, and accomplishment. The award recognises contributions made on a sustained basis rather than as a result of any single exceptional public service deed. Candidates will be judged upon their leadership skills, innovation, accomplishments and values. The nomination deadline for the receipt of nominations has now passed. The award will be presented in conjunction with the Premier's Awards for Excellence on May 31 at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories.
