The Resource Products Association (RPA)
Author: Richard Paton
Publication Date: 2018
Abstract: This case looks into change challenges in one not-for-profit policy advocating organization that represents private resource interests to government and the public. The case problem is the arrival of a new CEO who quickly realizes that the organization suffers from major reputational problems in its sector and has not adapted to this changing environment, most notably recognizing the challenges from emerging environmental priorities of the government and the public. The CEO sees this as an existential challenge demanding a new approach.
