Ethics and Political Acuity in Municipal Government
Ethics and Political Acuity in Municipal Government: Some Short Vignettes
Author: Peter P. Constantinou Ph.D
Publication Date: 2014
Increasingly ethics and political acuity are more and more important in navigating both the formal and the informal dimensions of public service. While much has been written about ethics in public service in general, less has focused on municipal governments specifically. Further, even less has been written about the role of political acuity. Each vignette offers a situation that challenges the student to consider each of these dimensions. It also enables the teacher to bring the theoretical elements of these questions into a focused light. Each vignette can be used in class or group work settings for open discussion. They can also be used for written assignments.
