This book of case studies highlights the Emergency Department Process Improvement Program (ED PIP) of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The cases consist of stories and lessons learned from the implementation of ED PIP in a number of the Ontario hospitals involved in waves 1 & 2 of the program. This work was undertaken as part of the Health Transformation Learning Partnership (HTLP). The HTLP project was a four 'year healthcare innovation project supported by the Ontario government, and led by the Institute of Public Administration of Canada. The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care was a project partner.
