Vernon Potter has been offered the job of Director at the Industrial Health and Safety Branch and is faced with a number of challenges: to leave the safe haven of the Mining branch to embark on this new adventure with possibly career-ending consequences; the consequences of such a move to his family. But he must also consider where he will be able to positively affect the greatest number of lives. His first and biggest task is to design a two-year program as a blueprint for organizational change at the IHSB. The first six months in his new job would set the stage.
