Local Transportation

As part of the IPAC National New Professionals commitment to minimizing its environmental footprint, delegates are encouraged to use sustainable transportation options when traveling around Halifax.

The Halifax/Dartmouth Airporter shuttle bus operates between Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International Airport and hotels in downtown Halifax and Dartmouth. The Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel is among its stops.

Halifax is very pedestrian-friendly, with numerous downtown parks and green spaces. Metro Transit provides fixed route bus services throughout the city and operates a harbour ferry linking downtown Halifax and Dartmouth. Schedules, tickets and other information about buses and ferries are available at most hotels, stores and at the Metro Transit web site.
