2006 Annual General Meeting

Paul Wells

A graduate of the university of Western Ontario, Mr. Wells augmented his studies in political science with a position as the editor of the university's award winning student newspaper, The Gazette. After graduation, Paul worked for the Montreal Gazette, which was followed by a year in France where he concentrated on writing and studying politics.

Upon his return to Canada, the Montreal Gazette assigned Mr. Wells to Ottawa as a political columnist and he also published politically-inspired commentary in Saturday Night magazine.  His comments on the state of Canadian politics drew the attention of readers, writers, and journalists nationally and Mr. Wells subsequently accepted a position as a columnist for the newly established daily newspaper the National Post. Most recently, MacLeans magazine has retained Paul as its senior editor and he also supplements his columns on his blog, Inkless Wells, which is hosted on the MacLean's website.

Mr. Wells is currently concentrating on writing his new book that comments on the resurgence of the Conservative Party under the leadership of Stephen Harper.
