IPAC/Deloitte Public Sector Leadership Award
2008 Award
The City of Edmonton's Office of Infrastructure and Funding Strategy was presented with a silver in the municipal catagory in 2008.
Konrad Siu (lead), Theresa Cloake, Romana Kabalin, Jeffifer Florax, and Jean Hudyma (team members) received the award for their development of Edmonton's Innovative Approach to Infrastructure Management - Defining Needs and Developing Solutions.
The ground breaking program is to assess and manage several billions of dollars worth of roads, sewers, bridges, and other infrastructure in order to determine where upgrades would be most worthwhile in the future.
The team earned the award for its innovative approach to managing asset needs because it challenges the way municipalities across the country and around the world traditionally approach infrastructure.
"The IPAC recognition demonstrates the ability of staff across our organization to work collaboratively to achieve a common goal," said Konrad Siu.
