Daily headlines and nightly news stories tell us of the current economic crisis and its impact on the entire world. Sound bites announce the actions of leaders, both in Canada and around the world, and what moves they are making.

How does this all affect us? From tax incentives to budget cuts, from deficits to lay-offs, this event will give us a chance to examine and discuss these types of measures, and what it means to work through these unpredictable times.

The day’s discussions will cut across several levels, encouraging dialogue among public servants working for different governments in BC.

Come and join us for an informative session that will include several
well-known presenters including:

Allan Tupper
Professor and Head, UBC Department of Political Science

Dr. Penny Ballem
