Strategic Planning and Communication Volunteer



DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT:   
IPAC Toronto Region group needs to clearly, creatively and effectively communicate and market their activities and document and share accomplishments with existing and potential IPAC members.  Greater use of technology including continuing to expand the website content is part of the communications strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:   Depends on project. May include: writing skills, web development skills.

OUTLINE OF VOLUNTEER’S RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Planning and Communications Volunteers may develop or review important Board documents (e.g. Annual Plan, Strategic Plan), develop content for the IPAC website, develop orientation materials for new Board members (e.g. IPAC Toronto Region Group 101, FAQs), preparing promotional materials for event, create content for the IPAC Toronto Region Group blog.

SUPPORT PLAN:  Strategic Planning and Communications Volunteers would receive orientation training to learn about IPAC Toronto Region Group. Volunteers would be paired with a Board member who would provide support, guidance, and approval on content development.

TIME COMMITMENT: 1 year
