About our keynote speaker and topic
Dr. Amanda Clarke is an Assistant Professor at Carleton University's School of Public Policy and Administration. Her research explores the intersections of public administration, civic engagement and information technologies. She is particularly interested in the implications of social media and related phenomena, such as crowdsourcing, open data and big data, for governments and civil society. Dr. Clarke’s presentation will focus on the prospects for digital government, and implications for public administrators.
About the annual general meeting
IPAC NCR members will receive the Chairperson’s Report and the Treasurer’s Report, outlining the events and programs that IPAC has hosted in the past year. Members will also consider and vote on a proposed set of bylaws (click here to review). Finally, members will elect the Regional Group Executive and Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Please join us for our annual general meeting and meet the volunteers who deliver IPAC programming in the National Capital Region.
About the IPAC National Capital Region
Founded in 1947, IPAC is an association of public servants, academics, and others interested in public administration. In the National Capital Region, IPAC strives to present an event each month between September through June. With close to 500 members, we seek to connect all orders of government, practitioners, academics, and the private sector across the region and provide a neutral space for the exchange of ideas around public administration. These events allow IPAC members to network with each other and to contribute to the evolution of public administration.
