November 28th Launch of IPAC Manitoba Book Club
Dr. Karine Levasser, co-author of Canadian Public Administration article “The snakes and ladders of accountability: Contradictions between contracting and collaboration for Canada’s voluntary sector” will lead a lunch time discussion on this article.
The article analyses the funding relationship between government and non-profits, which tends to be characterized by “snakes” of accountability, audit and performance measurement. It concludes by asking whether a “ladder” could be created by developing collaborative governance models between government and non-profits.
Dr. Karine Levasseur will introduce and facilitate the discussion.
Dr. Levasseur is Assistant Professor and Director of Cooperative Education at the University of Manitoba.
During this thought-provoking session, you will have the chance to discuss your thoughts on this subject with the article’s co-author and colleagues who share an interest in this field.
