The Minister Asks... A Simulation of Deputy Minister Leadership
Author: Thomas R. Klassen
Publication Date: 2006, 2011
This case study uses a complex and challenging decision for a deputy minister about how to respond to a controversial decision by a minister on the eve of an election that seems likely to see the government defeated to provide the class role play opportunities that offer a hands-on experience of dealing with the nitty-gritty of tough ethical and accountability considerations in the senior ranks of the public service.
