Bio

 

Emmet Collins is the Manager of Intergovernmental Relations and Strategic Policy with the Manitoba Department of Families. He has a PhD in political science from Carleton University and teaches Canadian politics and public administration at the University of Manitoba. Emmet is the Past Chair of the board of the IPAC Manitoba region and has served in various roles on the Manitoba board since 2015. He has previously served on the University of Manitoba Board of Governors, the Saint Boniface University Senate, and a variety of other boards. A francophone by upbringing and by inclination, Emmet has been an active volunteer in Manitoba’s francophone community for over 20 years, and served as Vice-President of the Société de la francophonie manitobaine from 2015-2017.
