Join IPAC Vancouver for a thought-provoking panel discussion on the sustainability of remote work and hybrid work, the future of work and impacts on career progression, networking and more. There will be lots of time at the end for audience Q&As. Panellist names will be shared soon!
Topic Overview
This session focuses on the journey of organizations toward new and varied workplaces and workspaces. Organizations adapted quickly to the work requirements that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the reality of remote work has created expectations for some workers that prefer working remotely and perhaps concern or fear on the part of other workers who miss the social and collaborative connections that can thrive in physical office spaces. We are learning more about collaborative work and how workers can be engaged across geography and across work environments.
Younger and new professionals may find that they need to be more self-driven in developing work connections, mentorship, and other career development strategies. Within these remote workspaces, how will organizations focus on innovative and supportive ways to undertake supervision and coaching in a more purposeful way? Do hybrid workplaces benefit workers disproportionately or create more benefits for employers than employees? Will we ever return to in-person or strictly remote work environments? These are some of the questions to be explored during this workshop and potentially future IPAC sessions.
