IPAC - Institute of Public Administration of Canada

Case Studies Program

Series Editor: Professor Andrew Graham, Queen's University

The IPAC Case Study Program offers instructors, trainers and students in government an opportunity to experience—and debate—public administration as it is lived in Canada. A case study is a written description of a situation in which public administrators made, influenced or implemented a decision. Many of these 160 cases are written by public servants who have been involved in the administrative situations on which a case can be based. Others are written by instructors of public policy and public administration courses who have developed cases based on their observations and experience in government.
